Bombus And It’s Features For XMPP

It is a GPL (General Public License) instant messaging client for Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP) written in java and which is used for cell phones which supports Java ME/MIDP. It can also be used on android podium, with some minor changes in code. It is one of the great achievements in application development which is used by much web development company in their mobile development.

Some of the excellent features of Bombus are:

• It transfers the data between user and Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol server by connecting through available network connection like: WAP/GPRS/WIFI.

• Bombus completely implements Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol core stipulation and a lot of Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol extensions like: desktop Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol clients, stream compression extension – it is excellent feature for GPRS.

• Due to open source character, Bombus has custom modifications from dissimilar volunteers, with some UI improvements, extra Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP) features.

The main aim of Bombus development is to produce full-featured Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol client for all mobile platforms which are supporting Java and/or Microsoft Win32 API for Windows Mobile.
