The Million Dollar Homepage is very popular name in website world because it has made a new revolution in website design. In 2005 , this website conceived by Alex Tew who is a student from Wiltshire. The main focus of this site is homepage, so its name is million dollar homepage. In the home page of this site a million pixels prearranged in a 1000 × 1000 pixel grating; the image-based links on home page were sold for only 1$ per pixel in 10 × 10 blocks. The purchasers of these pixel blocks provided three sections on home page:
• Tiny images to be displayed on block
• URL of the particular image
• Slogan to be displayed when user put there mouse on it.
In January 2006, 1,000 pixels were put up for sale on eBay site. The auction congested on 11 January bid of $38,100 which was the winning bid that brought the final compute to $1,037,100 in sickening income. During auction, the website was question to a dispersed denial-of-service attack and payment insists, which left it unreachable to visitors for some days while its security system was upgraded.
